The Aeolian Islands Isole Eolie sometimes referred to as the Lipari Islands or Lipari group after their largest island, are a volcanic archipelago in the Tyrrhenian Sea north of Sicily, said to be named after Aeolus, the mythical ruler of the winds.
Filicudi - an Italian island in the Tyrrhenian Sea, one of the eight islands of the Aeolian archipelago. Filicudi is situated north of Sicily, between the islands of Lipari and Alicudi. The total area of the island is approximately 9.5 km².
